Libya Fact Sheet |
Field Spaniels are descended from the English Cocker Spaniel. From the 1800's to the 1920's, Field Spaniels were bred to be much longer than English Cocker Spaniels; their length became quite exaggerated. Field Spaniels almost disappeared during the World Wars as families chose Cocker Spaniels much more often. Field Spaniels have been bred with Springer Spaniels to strengthen the gene pool.
