Field Spaniels are similar to, but slightly larger and heavier than, Cocker Spaniels. This breed is docile and wonderful with children, but Field Spaniels do not tolerate teasing well. Field Spaniels need to be with people or they may become neurotic and withdrawn. Field Spaniels are very sensitive, especially to the voice of their masters. Training should be firm but gentle. Field Spaniels are best suited to a home with a large fenced yard.
