Iraq Fact Sheet |
Field Spaniels are descended from the English Cocker Spaniel. From the 1800's to the 1920's, Field Spaniels were bred to be much longer than English Cocker Spaniels; their length became quite exaggerated. After World War II, only four Field Spaniels remained. All modern Field Spaniels are descended from these four. Field Spaniels have been bred with Springer Spaniels to strengthen the gene pool.
